INTRODUCTION
HubXpert are a new business that provide warehousing and ‘added value’ logistics services to business who need a partner that can do so much more than just ‘store, pick and ship’.
Hubxpert’s real business success comes through how they can add valuable efficiencies and extra services to their clients’ logistics journey creating a real end to end service.
MD – Gareth Laycock, approached us before the Summer to discuss how he wanted to position HubXpert and was looking for a photographer/content creator that could help bring his brand vision to life.
PLANNING
Planning is always such an important part of any project, and this one was no exception. Early meetings with Gareth identified the initial brief but we were able to bring additional ideas in subsequent check ins that Gareth was delighted to bring to the table.
Once all of the initial brand material was installed around the business’ facilities, we put a date on the diary and completed a brief/shooting list/pre-production phase.
CONTENT CHOICES
Content choices were discussed and planned in as ideas were bounced backwards and forwards. The project called or general photography but I also introduced aerial/drone photography into the mix to capture some stunning exterior shots and was also able to use our sub 250g DJi Mini 4 Pro to get some great interior shots with a very different perspective.
Headshots were on the brief – we did them ‘2 ways’ – 1 style on a pure white background and another style with the warehousing as a background. Why 2 ways? Headshots on white provide a generic look that can be used in a number of different ways – the second type of shot can be used in a more focused way – I like to provide the options to my clients.
Office lifestyle images were created to help demonstrate how the business works together as a team – these images bring the business to life and are great used in the future for recruitment drives – we talk about this style of photography in depth in this article on office lifestyle photography here
Operational shots were really important for Gareth so we broke down all of the processes and identified activities we knew would look dynamic and show off the broad range of services they offer their clients – having a tight brief and shot list made sure we didn’t miss a thing.
