PROJECT DETAIL

Rocla AGV are a international business – part of the Mitsubishi logisnext family – they specialise in the design and implementation of ‘AGV’ systems. AGVs are ‘automatically guided vehicles’ that help warehouses, factories and distribution centres to automate their stock handling without the need for a driver.

We were approached by Rocla after previously working with their mother company and we were delighted to get involved in the production of a film for them.

The project was filmed at a site in the Greater Manchester area for another international business called ‘Saica” (https://www.saica.com/) who specialise in the production of paper and board products that are fed into the newspaper, packaging and cardboard industries.

Saica engaged with Rocla before the COVID pandemic hit in 2020 to implement an AGV system for their paper mill and we documented that work and outcomes/achievements with our film.
PLANNING

Our contacts at Rocla were all based in Finland where the central marketing team are based, so all of our early communications took place via email and online calls.

We were delighted to see how organised and attentive to detail our client was – it really does make a massive difference when a client has experience with video production as they are fully aware of what goes into capturing a site/project of this scale and can really engage with confidence.

Due to the logistics of the project, which would see our Finnish counterparts joining us for the filming, we were in the pre-production phase of the project for at least 2-3 weeks but once that process was finished we had a solid plan for how the shoot day would play out.

CONTENT CHOICES

We knew the shooting schedule would be gruelling on this project, there was a lot to cover with only 1 day to cover it in. The efforts we had put into pre-production planning really helped to make sure we were in a great place to get everything we needed.

Photography, videography, time lapse and drone were all utilised to capture a wide range of content formats to make sure we could produce a really dynamic piece for our client. We particularly enjoyed creating ‘hyperlapse sequences’ (moving time lapse sequences) by attaching Go Pro cameras to the AGV vehicles – this footage turned out really well.

Drone flight was equally as exciting for us to capture both indoors and outdoors utilising our regular GPS drone but also flying our FPV racing drone inside to create fly through footage that really breathes life into the overall project.

GREAT RESULTS

Rocla were delighted with the content package we delivered over the course of the project and we ourselves were delighted to be involved. A project like this doesn’t come along that often so getting out teeth into it was a real joy.

CLIENT FEEDBACK

“Over the past few months, we’ve had the pleasure of working with Andrew and his team to produce the video and imagery for our latest case study at the Saica Mill in Partington, UK.

Andrew demonstrated exceptional professionalism throughout the entire project, while also making the process enjoyable and straightforward. Communication was swift, and the final quality of the materials exceeded our expectations.

The team at Logisnext UK had highly recommended them when we were seeking a partner for this project, and we wholeheartedly share that positive sentiment. Andrew brought curiosity, creativity, and exceptional skill to the filming process.

The work was not only technically impressive but also thoughtfully executed. We can confidently recommend Andrew and his team.”
