Event photography is a style of photography that captures the guests, happenings, details and moments of any event or occasion.

Insight Photography have been capturing special events, occasions, birthday parties and a whole host of other types of celebrations for the last 20 years and we LOVE a good old shindig!

We love the energy of a good event and we have to say, where there’s a drink or two involved – we love how events progress!

There are so many different types of events we cover from corporate events, awards ceremonies and team building days to proms, 21st Birthdays and Bar/Bat Mitzfah! The lights, the décor, the energy – there’s so much for a professional event photographer to capture.

Most of our clients want the buzz of the event to be the main focus of the photography and therefore we end up shooting in a very candid way – ie. unposed and freezing the action as it happens.

This style of photography is the perfect way for the energy to be portrayed and ensures guests at parties can get on with the main reason they are at the event – to party!
Of course, if a client wants certain posed group shots or if there is a set of awards to be handed out, then we are more than happy to take a brief on those elements and make sure they are combined into the overall set of images.

We are asked to capture event photography assignments in many different locations both outdoors and indoors. We have to be ready for any eventuality and will always carry the right equipment to make sure we can perform our job come rain or shine.

Some venues are very dark and this is where our many years of experience come in with flash photography – we are ready for any lighting conditions.

Regardless of the location or type of event we are asked to capture, our main goal is to really ‘get under the skin’ of the buzz and energy of the partygoers – to capture moments that bring back the glow and excitement of the party and ultimately to create a really dynamic set of pictures for our client.
If you are looking for an event photographer, whether for a corporate event or a social event, we would love to help and find out more about your occasion.
